Arsenal Reportedly Ready To Offload Host Of Senior Players This Summer

  • Arsenal will be looking to trim their squad, and wage bill, ahead of next season.
  • Lacazette, Leno, Xhaka, Bellerin and Luiz are the senior players staring at the exit door, according to the Guardian.
  • Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to stay

Bernd Leno, Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka, Hector Bellerin and David Luiz might not be at Arsenal next season.

While 3 of the 5 have been doing the rounds for quite some time, it’s surprising to see Leno and Xhaka added to the list. Both are among the most reliable and trusted players under Mikel Arteta.

Leno reportedly did not indicate he’d like to stay beyond his current deal (which expires in 2023), while Xhaka might be a casualty of the inflated wage bill,  EKO HOT BLOG  gathered.

Dani Ceballos and Mo Elneny are likely off, Arsenal literally won’t have anyone senior for that position, Thomas Partey aside, if Xhaka leaves too.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who’s going through a bad campaign, has no plans to leave North London, which is probably not that unexpected, given he’s only signed a new deal last summer.

Niles, Nelson, Willock, Guendouzi and Torreira might also leave. As 3 of those 5 are central midfielders.

The fans are running out of words to describe the fiasco that awaits Arsenal, unless the Gunners buy well.
