Wenger will return to the dug out aa he prepares to participate in the 2022 Riyadh Season Cup, coaching a combined team consisting of players from two of the Kingdom’s biggest clubs.
It’s Wenger’s first professional coaching role since the end of his 22-year stint at North London club, Arsenal.

The Riyadh Season begins this October, with global entertainment festivals running until March 2022.
The events will be spread across 14 different zones in the Saudi Arabian capital.
One of such events will be the Riyadh Season Cup, where a team of Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr players will take on French Ligue one heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain that boast the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
Arsene Wenger will manage the home team as Saudi Arabia is expected to welcome PSG for the first time in the third week of 2022.
According to Saudi Royal Court Advisor Turki Alsheikh, who confirmed Wenger’s role on Twitter.
He tweeted
“The great international coach Arsene Wenger was signed to lead the stars of Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr against Paris Saint-Germain in the cup.”
Arsene Wenger is presently on administrative assignment, serving as FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development after leaving Arsenal in 2018.
