EKO HOT BLOG reports that Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has spoken for the first time since one of his transfer targets Mykhailo Mudryk signed for Chelsea.
The Shakhtar Donetsk star has been Arsenal’s top target but Chelsea swooped in on Saturday to finalize a deal for Mudryk.
The Gunners were heavily linked with the 22-year-old and submitted three bids to Shakhtar Donetsk.
Mudryk has since been unveiled by the Blues during their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Arteta was asked about the transfer after the 2-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur.
He replied: “I am very proud of the players we have now.
“The club is trying everything, but we have to be very consistent and disciplined in our targets.
“Also, we can make these players better”.
