In response to a call for stronger collaboration by the Aseyin of Iseyin, HRM Oba Sefiu Olawale, Oyo State Water Corporation Chairman Elias Adeojo has affirmed the corporation’s commitment to improving water supply in Iseyin and its environs.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Adeojo acknowledged the critical role of local partnerships in addressing water challenges, emphasizing the need for collective action to achieve sustainable solutions.

Governor Seyi Makinde has tasked Adeojo with restoring water services to all geopolitical zones in the state, demonstrating the administration’s dedication to ensuring access to clean and potable water for all residents.
However, Adeojo identified epileptic power supply as a significant obstacle to achieving this goal, emphasizing the interconnected challenges faced by the state’s infrastructure.
“Provision of potable water is one of Governor Seyi Makinde’s key agendas, and he has given directives in that regard, with adequate support and assistance,” the Chairman said.
During a meeting with Oyo State Water Corporation Executive Chairman Elias Adeojo, the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Olawale, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in overcoming water challenges in the region.
Drawing inspiration from successful partnerships between the government and local communities, such as the Ogbomoso water initiatives, the Monarch called for a similar approach to address the water supply issues in Iseyin.
Oba Olawale expressed optimism that the meeting would result in actionable and implementable strategies to improve water supply in Iseyin, highlighting the importance of collective action in achieving sustainable progress.
In addition, the Monarch commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his dedication to the people of Oke-Ogun, particularly Iseyin, and his efforts to drive the state forward
