EKO HOT BLOG reports that the women wing of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in kaduna state says it is ready to work with relevant stakeholders including organisations and religious groups to ensure the party emerges victorious in the forthcoming general elections come 2023.
The PDP Women Leader in Kaduna state Mrs. Murna S. Amboson said this when the local government women leaders of the party from zone 3 and parts of zone 2 visited wife of the party’s Gubernatorial running mate Mrs. Deborah Ayuba in Kaduna.
Mrs. Murna S. Amboson pointed out that, the meeting was part of effort to develop a strategic plan toward sensitising women leaders across board on the need for an intensive grass-root campaign for the party.
The PDP women leaders decried the challenges facing the country ranging from insecurity, hunger and economic downturn among others, and stressed the need for people especially women in the state to campaign massively for the party to ensure power returns to the party come 2023.
She described the governorship candidate for the party in the state Mal. Isah Ashiru Kudan as a bridge builder and unifier who has the capacity to save the state from the numerous challenges bedevelling her, adding that, a vote for the party in the state is that of peace, unity and development.
“Every woman that is a PDP member belongs to an organisation and religious group, being it Christian or Muslim, and one of our strategy is to harness these women together, and alot of us are already talking to these women both in the religious groups and other women organisations.
“In PDP, we are masters of strategy, we have our strategies on ground and we are already putting them into action, what we have done today is parts of our strategy, it remains with us, we will execute it and the people will see it and it would yield results” said Mrs. Ambosom.
On her part, wife of the running mate to the state gubernatorial candidate of the party Mrs. Deborah John Ayuba called on women across the 23 local government areas to work round the clock to ensure the party secure victory in the 2023 general elections from top to bottom.
Mrs. John Ayuba who appreciated them for their show of love and solidarity expressed optimism that when the party became victorious in the forthcoming elections, the challenges facing the country including insecurity, corruption and hunger would be tackled head on.
“The purpose of calling for this meeting is for me to be able to meet with women leaders at the various local government to ensure that all women work hard for the success of the election that is coming forth in 2023 because we want to take that power from APC.
“Not only that, the kidnapping and other challenges of insecurity is too much that, when you visit some villages you discover that most of the villagers are either in the camps or have been driven away from their ancestral homes, and these have made us to advise women to stand up and work hard for the success of the 2023 elections from top to bottom” she explained.
Speaking on behalf of the women party leaders Mrs Tabitha Yakubu Bako from Zangon Kataf local government said voter education and enlightenment were key to achieving the set goals and objectives.
She called on the public to shun politics of religion and denomination and focus on the party that has the capacity to deliver dividends of democracy for the people to promote growth and development of the country.
“One of the major steps we came up with today is the need for voter education, to ensure people are not misled by religion and denomination in politics that has not yielded results in time past.
“What we need to do now is to look at competence, let us look at these parties and see what they have for us, PDP has been in government before, APC has also been in government, so we can compare what happened during PDP and APC regime.
“We don’t need anybody to tell us what the difference is, it’s very clear that PDP in her own time was very fair to everyone, they talk about corruption, we’ve never had it as bad as we have in this governmen.
“In PDP Governmen, whatever we did at that time was aimed at ensuring that the electorate get the dividends of democracy but today, they are concerned about themselves.

The women leaders of the party in the state were confident that when PDP return to power, they will build on their past mistakes and work towards improving the security, welfare and general welbeing of the people in the country.
