EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Presidential media aide and Deputy Director, Special Media Projects/New Media of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Bashir Ahmad, has mocked the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi over the turnout at his Anambra rally.
Ahmad, in a post via his Twitter account on Tuesday evening, said that based on the outcome of the Labour Party’s Anambra rally, it is clear Obi is not a contender for the 2023 presidential election.
He argued that if the Labour Party candidate could record such a poor turnout in his own state, then it is clear the APC candidate, Bola Tinubu has only one opponent in the 2023 race.
The presidential aide who went ahead to identify the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar as the only contender against Tinubu boasted that they knew how to defeat the former Vice President.
He wrote: “Just saw footages from Peter Obi’s rally in Anambra, which was tagged as “homecoming” by his supporters. If that was all he could get in his home state, then it’s so right to say Asiwaju has only one opponent, that’s AA, who we know very well how to squarely defeat at the polls.”
This online media platform recalls that Obi held a rally on Tuesday at his country home and also had a meeting with students and the Anambra State Council of Traditional Rulers as part of efforts to get support for his 2023 presidential ambition.
