A civic group, Aspiring Generation Foundation, on Tuesday, 10th August 2021 kicked off a medical outreach program in Epe Local Government.
The event witnessed a slew of beneficiaries, who trooped out to take advantage of the window of opportunity to check their medical status. It was held at the famous T-Junction, Epe.
Notable guests who graced the event include, the Alara of llara kingdom Oba Dr Olukayode Olufolarin represented by High Chief Talabi JP, Comrade Olatunji Sanni Epe NUT Chairman, Chief Akintola, the first Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA and Rev Dr I Biyi Phillips, Eredo LCDA Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman. Others include Mr Shittu (SAICO), Chief Akibu Rasheed, Alashe of Odo-Ayandelu, Hon Azeez Kayode, Chief Mrs Titilayo Ajayi, the Erelu Oba of Agbowa-Ikosi, Mr Giwa Olagbenga, NAMORAL Chairman Epe.
Speaking with the convener of the NGO, Mr Mojeed Olatunbosun Bakare, popularly called Bossman, an indigene of Agbowa, Ikosi-Ejinrin, Epe, a business magnate and a Real Estate practitioner, told Ekohotblog that the vision of the Humanitarian support outfit, which has been in existence since 2017, is to contribute to the socio-economic well-being of citizens in Epe community and its environs. “My dream and my vision for my community are to see a better, strong and healthy Epe people, It is to actually help people, the vulnerable people like the orphans and to support students,” he said.
Speaking further, Mr Bakare noted that it was imperative for him to give back to the society, and in the process assist the Lagos State Government in realising one of its core pillars of governance, health, as enshrined in the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda.

“We are bringing this program on board to support the Lagos State Government T.H.E.M.E.S agenda in our little capacity. Today, we are actually carrying out a medical outreach flag-off which is going to hold in 13 different locations within three Local Governments which are Epe, Eredo and Agbowa-Ikosi. We want to help our people in terms of medical checks up to understand their health status. I understand people don’t take their health status serious, so we want to help them. Free medication is available for beneficiaries based on their health status,” he stated.
He called on well-meaning individuals in the upper echelon of the society to pool their God-given resources together and assist the poor and vulnerable through life-changing humanitarian programs.

Eredo LCDA: Beside RCM Primary School Mojoda, Frontage of Alara’s Palace, Ilara Epe, Noforija Town Hall and Primary Health Center (PHC) Odomola.
Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA: Ketu-Ejinrin road, Anomo-Dehinsilu Campaign Office, Agbowa garage and Ita Agbowa.
