EDITOR’S PICK:

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman has reacted to the ongoing lockdown of public Universities in Nigeria.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has embarked on strike since February 2022.

The strike was stretched by the varsity dons due to the Federal Government’s refusal to allow ASUU to use their own generated payment platform, University Transparency Accountability Solution, UTAS, among other demands.

Reacting in a post on his verified Twitter page on Tuesday, Apostle Suleman said the Federal Government risks karma as compensation for letting the strike action linger.

The renowned clergyman tweeted: “ASUU is still on strike! This govt should know this.

“Karma is not punishment but compensation for work well done! Continue!”

Meanwhile, ASUU leadership said on Monday that its members are ready to resume as soon as the federal government responds to their demands.

ASUU President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke made the submission on Monday night during a TV interview, saying the government is responsible for the prolonged strike action.
