ASUU, FG Meet To “Finalise Talks” On 9-month Strike
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is currently in a meeting with the Federal Government to “Finalise Talks” to put an end to its lingering strike.
ASUU disclosed this in a tweet on its official handle on Friday.

Recall that the striking lecturers had met with the government last week and had resolved to consult with members nationwide on whether to accept the government’s offer.
ASUU had been offered a cumulative sum of ₦65 billion to address earned academic allowance and revitalisation.
The government also agreed to pay the striking lecturers through the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System) until ASUU’s University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS) was ready for usage.
