EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has disclosed that it will intimate the public with its next line of action regarding an impending industrial action as its ultimatum to the Federal Government lapsed yesterday.
President of ASUU, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, disclosed this to Daily Trust in a telephone interview, on Monday.

The labour leader said the union will conclude its consultation with various branches across the federation and subsequently make its position known.
Meanwhile, fearing another face-off with the union, it was gathered that the Federal Government has begun moves to prevent another strike by the aggrieved lecturers.
According to The PUNCH, Minister of State For Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, had said that the ministry had written a letter to the Ministry of Finance on the payment of allowances to staff of universities.
