EKO HOT BLOG reports that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday met with the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd Justin Welby.
The two personalities met in Westminister, London, in the United Kingdom.
This online media platform understands some chieftains of the PDP were also in the entourage of Atiku during his meeting with the British cleric.
Some of the PDP chieftains present at the meeting were the Director-General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation (PCO) and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal; House of Representatives Minority Leader, Ndidi Elumelu; Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and Senator Dino Melaye.
Speaking about their meeting, Atiku disclosed that they talked about promoting better humanity and preserving the lot of the common man.
The PDP candidate also described Welby as an amiable personality.
Taking to his Twitter account, the former Vice President of Nigeria wrote: “The Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd Justin Welby, is an amiable personality. My meeting with him, which ended not long ago, dwelled on shared beliefs in promoting better humanity and ensuring that the lot of the common man is improved. -AA”
