Former Nigerian Vice President and presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar, has received another dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
Atiku’s media aide, Paul Ibe, confirmed this on his Twitter page.
This comes barely two weeks after the former Nigeria vice president received the first vaccine.
Paul Ibe tweeted: Atiku, who is currently in Dubai, UAE, received the first shot on January 6.
“H.E @atiku earlier today took his second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.
“He had earlier had the first jab on the 6th of January,”.
Atiku is suspected to be the first Nigerian to have received the vaccine.

Meanwhile the Nigerian government had said it was expecting the delivery of 20 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to the country in early 2021.
The chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum also assured Nigeria will get its first shipment of the vaccine in February.
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has been approved by several countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
