EKO HOT BLOG reports that the meeting took place at the ongoing Taraba International Investment Summit, which has drawn several political and business leaders from across the country. Atiku shared details of his arrival at the summit in a post on his verified 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) handle, along with a photo showing him exchanging greetings with Vice President Shettima.
“I just arrived at the Taraba International Investment Summit in Jalingo. -AA,” he wrote.
The encounter between the two political figures has drawn attention, given their history as political rivals during the 2023 general election, where Atiku ran against President Bola Tinubu, with Shettima as Tinubu’s running mate.
The summit, which is being held in the heart of Taraba, is aimed at showcasing the state’s economic potential and attracting both local and foreign investments in sectors such as agriculture, tourism, and infrastructure development. Several state governors, top government officials, investors, and diplomats are expected to participate in the event.
