The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has described the attack on its official, Mr. Kosoko Razak, by a suspected commercial driver of an unpainted Suzuki Minibus with Registration number AAA 693 YC at Jakande in Lekki, Lagos State as brutal.
The General Manager, LASTMA, Mr. Olajide Oduyoye, said that this is not the first attack on LASTMA official and claimed that some people have died after being attached at work.

“The law must punish the people who did this or still have the intentions of attacking and hurting any of us. There should be no shifting of ground or any settlement of this matter because the family of Mr Razak that was attacked would have mourn their soon if not for divine intervention”, the General Manager said.
“The British attack on the other officers by the suspect is totally condemnable and uncalled for. The way and manner it was carried out, it was like a premeditated attempt to kill the officer.
It was reported that Rasaq was quickly rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment and stitching of the deep cuts on his head and Onwuche was arrested and taken to Ilasan Police Division for further investigation and presecution.
Eko Hot Blog learnt that Oduyoye pleaded motorist intensively to ensure that the comply and obey the traffic laws of Lagos State to avoid any more exaperating harzard and also prevent getting arrested.
“I promise that LASTMA will remain focused on its duties despite and intimidation and assault not forgetting that our duties is to Collaborate with other agencies especially those that prevent highway accidents carry out investigation on drivers’ road behaviour and safety, enlighten and inform the drivers on the effective way of using the highway,
and give suggestion on how to maintain safety on the road”, he added.
