Since the death of prominent Nigerian gospel musician, Osinachi Nwachukwu, allegedly as a result of domestic abuse, many Nigerians have utilized various social media platforms to express their opinions and share their experiences with those who have suffered anything similar.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Chioma Toplis, the prominent Nollywood actress and fashion entrepreneur, has taken to social media to narrate her experience, revealing that she will not attend her father’s funeral if he dies.
According to Chioma, she recently realized that she is not the only person who had a terrible father by her side while growing up. She further revealed that her father is an elder in the church and her mother left him for reasons ranging from cheating, laziness, foolishness, senseless, and domestic abuse among others.
Her post on Instagram read:
“Growing up, I just kept wondering why my mum got married to a man like my father, when my father dies, I won’t attend his burial or even shade a tear.

“And neither would any of my siblings, except for my elder brother, just for tradition sake, his burial would be one of the worst in town.
“Despite everything he did to my mum, she is still alive, strong, and a winner today” Chioma stated.
