Ekohotblog reports that on Sunday, August 4, 2024, Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, celebrated the induction of a group of students into the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary Association.
The ceremony, hosted by the Isolo Deanery, was overseen by His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, Archbishop of Lagos Archdiocese and Proprietor of Augustine University.

In his homily, Archbishop Martins highlighted the significance of nurturing children with the teachings of the Bible, emphasizing that these teachings provide lasting guidance.
Drawing from his own upbringing by devout parents of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, he expressed his joy over the establishment of the association within the Augustine University Chaplaincy.
The Archbishop urged the newly inducted students to actively participate in the association and to deepen their faith and commitment to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
