Peter Obi Calls For Reconciliation, Birth Of New Nigeria
The Labour Party, LP, Presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Mr Peter Obi, has called for reconciliation and the birth of a new Nigeria.
The Interim National Coordinator, Obidient Movement, Dr Tanko Yunusa, quoted Obi to have made the call in a post via his X platform on Friday.
Obi said it was the beginning of a new era to strengthen the Movement with a singular vision to birth a New Nigeria that works for everyone.

He reiterated that the Movement stands at a critical juncture where they must become more efficient in managing their diverse factions, interests, worldviews, and leadership dynamics.
The ex-Anambra State Governor added that they recognize that personal agendas and differences have sometimes led to division, stressing that moving forward, they would proactively design frameworks and systems that allow their diversity to remain their strength.
Obi expressed his gratitude to those who used their resources to support the elections and the emergence of the Obidient Movement and its leadership.
“As we take this bold step forward, we must acknowledge the grievances and feelings of disenfranchisement that have emerged within our ranks.
“We sincerely apologize for these grievances and recognize that they are real and valid. In spite of our differences, we believe that we can work together if we are united by a common purpose and vision.
“This requires a clear set of rules of engagement, underpinned by respect, tolerance, and understanding, and bound by the principles of the 5 Cs: Character, Competence, Capacity, Consistency, and Compassion.”
