While addressing the Airport Management team, the Minister stressed that his cardinal objectives is to make the Nigerian people happy using the nation’s airports and this can be achieved if all the facilities needed for comfort, safety and security are therein as it is enjoyed in other climes.

“I have heard complaints upon complaints, the central air condition is not working, the carousels are not working, they broke down quite often and the approach into the airport is smelly and totally unwelcoming”.

He added, “We must be responsive to the feelings of Nigerians”.

During the visit, he issued a stern warning saying he was here at the pleasure of President Bola Tinubu and owe total loyalty to him and the Nigerian people, adding that, anybody not making his work easy would be fired.

“I either get sacked by Mr president or somebody who is responsible will get sacked so it is a matter of who dies first”.

The minister said, many people were pessimistic, opposed to his appointment and he was ready to ensure they are disappointed and would ensure he does his best in fulfilling the wishes of Nigerians and the President.

“Am sure you know that if you count three ministers they have been shouting about since the appointment it is myself that is number one and so, I want to disappoint many naysayers, I want to disappoint them, they want to see me in full flight they have not seen me before, they will see me in full flight”.
