Avoid Eating Corn, If Your Have Any Of These 3 Medical Conditions

Corn (Maize) is a popular food in this part of the world, we all love the awesome taste we get from it after roasting or boiling. It offers a variety of health benefits, but can also be detrimental to some people with severe health conditions.

So, In this article on EKO HOT BLOG, we would be looking at some health conditions that eating corn may worsen.

1. Diabetes

Sugar levels in the blood may rise quickly while eating corn because of the high carbohydrate content, this is why diabetic patients must avoid it.

Following dietary rules and keeping note of what you eat can go a long way in helping those with diabetes manage their condition.

2. Indigestion

If consumed in excess, the high fibre content of maize can cause digestive troubles such as indigestion and stomach upsets.

So if you already have an existing problem with ingestion, it is better your stay away from corn, for your own good.

3. Asthma

Consuming maize, which contains ingestible protein, is not recommended for those with asthma.

Some Asthmatic patients are even allergic to corn and it could cause; a runny nose, itching, and wheezing. If you are familiar with asthmatic conditions, you would know triggering it is not the best idea.

So once again, if you are asthmatic, try to avoid corn as much as possible.
