  • AYCF President praises INEC’s integrity
  • Peter Obi’s statement bolsters INEC’s credibility

His remarks come in the wake of a recent statement by former Anambra governor, Peter Obi.

Obi had previously asserted that justice in Nigeria is “commodified” and “goes to the highest bidder”.

Furthermore, he opined that the Judiciary, rather than INEC, poses the biggest obstacle to Nigeria’s democratic process.

Drawing inspiration from Obi’s submission, Yerima expressed his firm belief in INEC’s integrity.

“Peter Obi’s remarks have vindicated our stance and affirmed that INEC is not the primary obstacle to democratic electoral practices in Nigeria,” he stated.

Moreover, Yerima underscored the AYCF’s longstanding position that INEC is a credible, impartial, and unbiased institution.

“We emphasized the importance of strong institutions like INEC in ensuring the integrity of Nigeria’s electoral process,” he added.

In his statement, Yerima applauded INEC’s consistent adherence to the principles of fairness, impartiality, and transparency in conducting elections nationwide.
