Eko Hot Blog reports that members of the planning committee for the coronation ceremony of HRM Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo, the Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri Kingdom, Eredo LCDA, Epe Division, Lagos State, have pledged their support for the success of the monarch’s reign.
Oba Oliwo, who was crowned last Saturday, is the first king of Odo-Egiri Kingdom.
Hon. Ayo Odeyemi, the Chairman of the planning committee, and Alhaji Deinde Tuwashe, the Co-Chairman of the finance committee, presided over the coronation ceremony.
Speaking with Eko Hot Blog and other media outlets, Hon. Odeyemi expressed his gratitude for the privilege of leading the committee and extended his wishes for a long and fruitful reign for the monarch.
“My expectations from Kabiyesi are for him to rule in a good way that people will have a lot of good things to say about him,” he said.
The coronation ceremony planning committee chairman also took a moment to thank the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for approving the obaship position for the Odo-Egiri community.
On his part, Alhaji Tuwashe, the co-chairman of the planning committee and chairman of the finance committee, appreciated the donors who played a crucial role in the success of the coronation ceremony.
He expressed his gratitude to the press and extended heartfelt prayers for the new king.
Alhaji Tuwashe called for unwavering support for Kabiyesi, saying, “My message to the people of Odo-Egiri is to give the Kabiyesi maximum cooperation.
“On my own part, I promise I’ll support this Kabiyesi to succeed, and that’s my plea to everyone; we should assist him in any way we can so that all of us can have a cause to glorify God.”
Alhaji Tuwashe also addressed critical issues facing the community and the broader Epe division.
He acknowledged challenges in areas like electricity, the impact of rising petroleum prices on artisans, and the need to improve power supply in the Epe division.
The coronation ceremony planning committee member nevertheless commended the efforts of Eredo LCDA Chairman in enhancing security and urged further progress in this regard.
Alhaji Tuwashe concluded his statement by highlighting the shared responsibility of the community in addressing these challenges.
With the guiding hands of Hon. Odeyemi and the unwavering support of Alhaji Tuwashe, the coronation of HRM Oba Oliwo unfolded as a joyous and hopeful occasion.
As the community gathered to celebrate the new king, their shared commitment to a prosperous reign resonated throughout the ceremony.
