The news was shared on Thursday by fellow gospel actor and producer Oluwaseun Adejumobi via his verified Instagram account. Adejumobi’s message read, “Heaven’s Gain Again. A General Has Gone to Rest,” expressing the deep loss felt within the gospel film community.
Baba Gbenro was beloved by fans for his memorable performances in Abattoir, a widely viewed Christian film series by the Mount Zion Faith Ministries, which has been influential in spreading Christian messages through drama.
