Babatunde Sanuth Emerges President, Association Of Lagos State Indigene
Babatunde Jafar Sanuth has emerged the president, Association of Lagos State Indigene.
Speaking during his inaugural speech on Sunday, March 8th at the Association’s headquarters, Lagos Island, the president said that his priority will be to close the gap between old and new members as well as come up with programmes designed to improve the capacity and capability of members economically, socially, politically and development wise.
Babatunde Sanuth said: “This Executive will focus on viable and sustainable Institution building with a lot of decentralisation to the Local Government level. A healthy competition will be instituted amongst the Local Governments such that we will be busy throughout the year assisting or supporting from the Centre. Some of the activities to be embarked upon include Grassroot network, Counselling and mentorship, Scholarship and Bursary, Micro-credit and Cooperatives, Youth development and Reorganization.”
He also assured that the body would cooperate with all Associations and Agencies that have a similar objective in the state.
He thanked the founding fathers and all previous executives of the Association for laying the foundation which his administration promises to build upon to an enviable level.
