Hudson Meek, a promising young actor known for his role in the 2017 film “Baby Driver,” tragically died at the age of 16.
Meek sustained severe injuries after falling from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, on December 19th. He succumbed to his injuries two days later at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital.

Meek’s family announced his passing in a heartfelt statement, expressing their profound grief. “His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met,” they wrote on Instagram.
Beyond his acting career, which also included roles in “Legacies,” “Genius,” and “Found,” Meek was a vibrant and active teenager. He was a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, a talented athlete, and an active member of his community.
Meek is survived by his parents, Derek and Lani Meek, his brother, Tucker, and extended family.
