Many don’t know this, but lower back pain, also known as lumbago, does not have a specific disease diagnosis. It can be a sign of a variety of medical conditions.
It is usually caused by a problem with some lower back structures, such as muscles and ligaments, discs, and nerves. It could also be caused by a problem with one of the adjacent organs, such as the kidneys.
In this on EKO HOT BLOG, we would be looking at some causes of back pain, you must take note of.
1. Strain
Back pain is frequently caused by strained muscles. Strain is frequently caused by improper lifting of big objects and sudden awkward motions.
Overactivity can also cause strain. A common example is a soreness and stiffness that happens after a few hours of yard labour or participation in a sport.
2. structural issues
The interconnecting bones that make up the spine and are stacked on top of one another are known as vertebrae. Discs are soft tissue components of the spine that cushion the spaces between the vertebrae. Disc injuries are a rather common cause of back pain.
These discs can bulge, herniate, or rupture from time to time. Nerves may become strained as a result of this. A bulging disc pressing on the nerve that goes from your back to your leg can cause sciatica or sciatic nerve inflammation.
3. Symptoms of arthritis
Back pain can also be brought on by spinal osteoarthritis. It is caused by cartilage degradation and degeneration in your lower back joints. This condition can progress to spinal stenosis or narrowing of the spinal column.
