Lagos State government’s Circular Economy program, Eco-Circulate, rewarded Badagry residents with food items, cash, free transport vouchers, health insurance, and more for their participation in sustainable development practices.
The event, led by Mrs. Titilayo Oshodi, Special Adviser on Climate Change and Circular Economy, aimed to educate and enlighten the community on the value of waste recycling, reusing, and reducing.
Residents eagerly exchanged their waste for rewards, demonstrating their enthusiasm for the program. According to Oshodi, “Every community needs to understand that effective waste management affects their health, productivity, financial capability, and overall quality of life.”
