Bandits Attack: NRC Suspends Abuja-Kaduna Rail Operations

  • The Nigerian Railway Corporation has suspended operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route

  • This is coming after bandits blew up train rails and attacked the 6pm train heading to Kaduna from Abuja

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Nigerian Railway Corporation has suspended operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route following a terrorist attack on a train plying the axis on Monday.

The NRC confirmed the suspension in a statement via its Twitter handle, @Official_NRC, on Tuesday.

“Dear passengers, due to unforeseen circumstances, Train operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route has been temporarily suspended. Further Communication would be given in due course,” the statement read.

This is coming after bandits blew up train rails and attacked the 6pm train heading to Kaduna from Abuja.

Many are feared kidnapped, while others sustained injury during the attack.

It was also learnt that the terrorists also kidnapped several others, while some passengers were injured during the incident.
