A former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has bemoaned the recent surge in bandits activities in the state, and in particular the kidnap of eight members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Kaduna on Friday night.
The victims who are members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region 30, Trinity Sanctuary, Kaduna, were travelling to Kachia in preparation for the church’s ‘Let’s Go a Fishing’ Easter programme when bandits ambushed them.
In his reaction, Sani described the abduction as a tragedy and lamented how the bandits have now turned the state to their domain.

Speaking further, the ex-Senator said that it is heartbreaking that before one kidnap is resolved, another one is unfolding.
“The report of the Kidnapping of RCCG members along Kachia road in Kaduna is yet another tragedy. Bandits have turned our state into their hub; B4 one kidnap is resolved, another one is unfolding. Humans have become preys. On entry you meet their snare,on exit you meet their ambush,” he tweeted.
The Kaduna State government however has continued to maintain that it will not negotiate with bandits.
