Bandits Kidnap 7 UNIJOS Students

Eko hot blog Reports that Unknown Gunmen suspected to be bandits have kidnapped seven off-campus students of the University of Jos, UNIJOS.

The students were kidnapped in the early hours of Wednesday at about 2:am, at a private hostel close to the former Nigerian School of Accountancy, along Bauchi Ring Road in Jos North Council Area while studying for their ongoing second-semester examination.

An Eye witness Moses James, told our correspondence  that the kidnappers stormed the hostel and broke into the room where the students were studying, held them hostage at gunpoint for close to thirty minutes before forcing them into a waiting vehicle, and later whisked them away.

The Plateau State Police Command through it’s spokesman DSP Alfred Alabo Confirmed the development to ait.live and said a joint team of the Police, Special Taskforce Operation Safe Haven and the hunters have since gone after the abductors for possible rescue of the victims.
