At least one person was killed with three others injured after Bandits attacked six villages in Batsari LGA of Katsina State.
The Bandits numbering up to 200 also rustled cattles in the Friday night attack.
The spokesman of the Katsina State Police Command, SP Gambo Isa, confirmed the incident.
He, however, refuted claims that eight villages were attacked
He listed the affected villages as: Yandaka, Salihawar Duba, 6Garin Goje, watangadiya and Dutse maizane villages of Batsari LGA of Katsina state.
He said: ”They shot and Killed one Alaramma Kabiru Kano, aged 57yrs at Garin Goje village.
“Three others were injured at Dutse Maizane. Unspecified number of cows and sheep were rustled.
”The bandits laid ambush for the joint forces of military and police which led to heavy exchange of fire.”
