Bandits Raid Four Communities, Kill Three, Abduct 24 in Zamfara

- Bandits killed three people and kidnapped 24 others in attacks on four Zamfara communities.
- Worshippers were abducted from a mosque in Birnin Yero during evening prayers, with several others injured.
- Residents of two villages were given a three-day eviction ultimatum, but some have vowed to stay despite the threats.
At least three people have been killed, and 24 others abducted in a series of bandit attacks on four communities in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the assailants believed to be loyalists of notorious bandit leader Bello Turji, raided Shinkafi town and the villages of Jangeru, Shanawa, and Birnin Yero on Thursday.

Reports indicate that three people were killed, and nine others, including four women, were kidnapped in Shinkafi town. In Birnin Yero, the attackers stormed a mosque during evening prayers, abducting eight worshippers and injuring several others as they fled for safety.
In Shanawa, four people were taken, while in Jangeru, a woman was initially kidnapped but later abandoned in the bush after collapsing from exhaustion.
The attack in Shanawa occurred just a day after 12 residents were freed following the alleged payment of a ₦12 million ransom.

Meanwhile, bandits have reportedly issued eviction threats to residents of Kwari and Kurya villages, warning them to leave within three days or face violence.
However, some villagers have vowed to stay, refusing to comply with the threats.
