Barcelona Sacks Ronald Koeman As Head Coach

Ekohotblog reports that Barcelona has sacked Ronald Koeman as head coach after 14 months at the club.
Ronald Koeman was relieved of his duties following a 1 – 0 defeat against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday night.

Although before now there has been high speculations about the manager’s imminent departure but Wednesday’s defeat was the final straw as it was their 4th defeat in 6 games in all competitions.
The loss left Barcelona in ninth place in the La Liga table, having won just four of their opening 10 league games.
A brief statement was released on the club’s website confirming president Joan Laporta had relieved the Dutchman of his duties as first-team coach.
“FC Barcelona has relieved Ronald Koeman of his duties as first team coach. The president of the club, Joan Laporta, informed him of the decision after the defeat against Rayo Vallecano. Ronald Koeman will say goodbye to the squad on Thursday at the Ciutat Esportiva.
FC Barcelona wishes to thank him for his service to the Club and wishes him all the best in his professional career.”, the statement reads.
