EKO HOT BLOG reports that a new dawn beckons at the prestigious Epe Ogunmodede Club as the Alakoso of Epe Kingdom, Barrister Omodele Ibrahim takes the mantle of leadership.

Barrister Omodele Ibrahim paid homage to Olu Epe

Bar Ibrahim succeeds a community development advocate, the Baameto of Epe Kingdom, Chief Alade Saliu Okulu.

Speaking on the development in an interview with EKO HOT BLOG during the Ojude Oba Epe 2022 at Epe Marina Waterfront, the Bado-Isale-born legal practitioner and politician described his emergence as a rare privilege.

“First of all, I give glory for my emergence to this exalted position, I see it as an honour and I see it as a privilege and the focus, I want to believe of this administration is to ensure that we are re-awakened into new strides,” he said.

Speaking further, he reiterated his commitment to rally around the community stakeholders and explore the media in attaining the set goals.

“I will always seek the cooperation, the support of both major stakeholders in our community including the media as the 4th estate of the realm, we are going to be focused on a lot of publicity in terms of what we intend to do both in the short, medium and long term goals of the club,” he stated.

Amongst other issues, Barrister Omodele averred that it was important to place the community on the threshold of harmony through the celebration of Ojude-Oba while upholding the age-long standard practice.

“Ojude Oba is a tradition and I want to make it more glamorous. We do not want to compromise on standards and ensure that it continues to bring our community together.

“More importantly, we are going to focus more on leadership, and commitment to developmental programs in our community and also ensure discipline in all areas.

“Our youths are very important to us, the traditional stool, the religious stool and we want to ensure that standards are not compromised,” he said.

As regards what he’s bringing to the table, he said: “As a pacesetter, that is Epe Ogunmodede, we want to be firm in the decision-making process. We are not perfect, we expect people to give advice and we would enhance and deepen our consultative process.”
