EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State has defeated the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara at his Local Government Area, Bogoro.
This is as the incumbent governor of the state, who is the candidate of PDP emerged victorious in Dogara’s LGA.
The official results declared by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) revealed that the PDP and its candidate polled a total of 16,598 votes to defeat the APC and its candidate who polled a total of 10,436 votes.
The PDP also won the Bogoro State Assembly Constituency as its candidate, Musa Nagwada polled a total of 13,934, while the APC candidate, Bulus Iliya who is a former Legislative aide to Dogara got a total of 12,887 votes.
It was gathered that it was jubilation galore when the result was announced as Markus Bitrus Lusa led hundreds to the residence of former Executive Secretary of TETFund, Prof Sulaiman E Bogoro who described the victory as sweet.
