Bauchi: Man Allegedly Cuts Off Private Part Of A Girl For Rituals

A 20-year-old man was taken into custody by the Bauchi police.

He was arrested for cutting off the private area of a 6-year-old girl as part of a suspicious ritual,   EKO HOT BLOG  gathered.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ahmed Wakil, released in a statement made to reporters in Bauchi on Friday.

He stated that when the police got the report from the victim’s aunt, they acted and apprehended the suspect while his accomplice is still on the run.

He said, “On the 30th December, 2020 at about 7.20pm one Hafsatu Wada of Zango area of Jama’are LGA, said in Jama’are police station that her niece Safarau Mohammed (not real name) (6) of the same address was found weeping in a pool of her blood.

“Upon receiving the complaint, a patrol team headed by the DPO of the Jama’are Division went to the scene and drove the victim into Jama’are General Hospital. We got confirmation from a doctor that her private part had been cut off with a sharp object.

“The girl was immediately transferred to the Federal Medical Center, Azare for further medical response.

“In the course of the investigation, one Adamu Ra’uf (20) from Gandu Jama’are was taken into custody. When interrogated, the suspect admitted to conspiring with one Abdulkadir Haladu of Chikamidari area of Jama’are to commit this crime.

“The said Abdulkadir is currently free, but necessary steps are taken for his immediate arrest. In the meantime, the investigation remains ongoing.”
