EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Chief Imam of Beli, Liman Musa Abubakar, confirmed Inuwa’s death, describing it as a great loss to the entire people of Northern Nigeria. The traditional ruler’s passing has left a significant void in the region’s leadership.

In an interview with Daily Trust during his lifetime, the late monarch shared details of his long reign. He revealed that his grandfather served as village head of Beli for 12 years, followed by his father, who ruled for 17 years.

Inuwa was appointed to the throne at the age of 19 in 1933 by the Emir of Katagum, Abdulqadir. Reflecting on his life, he noted that he was born around 1912 or 1913.

Throughout his reign, Inuwa served under four different first-class Emirs of Katagum. He lived with Emir Abdulqadir for 12 years before his passing, then served under Emir Umaru Faruqu for 35 years.
