Bayelsa Poll: Court Disqualifies APC’s Deputy Gov Candidate For Fasle Educational Qualifications

The Federal High Court in Abuja has disqualified the deputy gubernatorial candidate Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo, of the All Progressive Congress APC ahead of the Bayelsa governorship election.

The Court disqualified Degi-Eremienyo on the grounds that he supplied false information to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

The Court announce the verdict through Justice Inyang Ekwo, on Monday in Abuja following a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1101/2019 which the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, instituted before the court.

The court noted that it was satisfied that the APC deputy governorship candidate gave false information in the form CF0001 he submitted to INEC to contest the election. Adding that, all his educational certificates bore different names.
