Eko Hot Blog reports that Bayern Munich received injury boost ahead of their Champions League quarter-final clash against Arsenal on Tuesday, as Manuel Neuer, Kingsley Coman, and Leroy Sane return to training.
Also the duo of Aleksandar Pavlovic, and Noussair Mazraoui are also back in training.
Neuer had earlier sustained a left adductor injury while on international duty with Germany in March.
The 37-year-old German goalkeeper has missed Bayern’s last two games with Sven Ulreich deputising in his absence.
Coman, Sane, Mazraoui (26), and Pavlovic were absent during the shocking 3-2 defeat to tenth-place Heidenheim on Saturday. However, they have all resumed training in preparation for the match against the north London side.
However, Sacha Boey, Bouna Sarr, and Tarek Buchmann missed Monday’s training session as they recover from injury issues.
The German side will fly to London on Monday before taking on Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.
Having lost their previous two games, Bayern defeat to Heidenheim signifies a crucial moment, with leaders Bayer Leverkusen only one victory away from securing their first-ever Bundesliga title as they prepare to face Werder Bremen at the BayArena on Sunday.
Manager Thomas Tuchel has already conceded the title race is over and so Bayern’s full focus now is the Champions League.
Neuer’s return would be a huge boost and the goalkeeper is itching to get back after being forced to miss the start of the season due to injury.
