BBNaija 2020: Laycon Taxed After Victory

  • Few days after Lekan “Laycon” Agbeleshe emerged the winner of the 2020 edition of Big Brother Naija, (BBNaija), reality show, the Lagos Internal Revenue Service, (LIRS), has urged him to pay tax.

Ekohotblog earlier reported that Laycon, Dorathy, Nengi, Vee, and Neo all made it to the top five, making their fates lie in the hands of the viewers.

Ogun State-born Laycon emerged the winner after garnering the highest number of votes from the audience, with Dorathy coming in the second position.

In a post on its official Twitter page, the LIRS congratulated the 26-year-old rapper, stating that it looked forward to seeing him pay tax.

“Congratulations @itsLaycon winner @BBNaija Lockdown edition. More wins!! We look forward to seeing you in Y2021 as you #payyourtax,” it wrote on Twitter.

Laycon’s N85 million win entails “a N30m cash prize; a two-bedroom apartment courtesy Revolution Plus; a top of the range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors; a trip to Dublin courtesy Guinness; home appliances courtesy Scanfrost.”
