BBNaija: Why My Relationship With Mercy Eke Failed – Ike Onyeama
- Ike expressed what went wrong in his relationship with Mercy
- He also blamed social media for playing it’s part
Former BBNaija housemate, Ike Onyeama has disclosed why his romantic relationship with Mercy Eke, the winner of the season 4 edition of the show, failed.
The ex love birds met in the Big Brother house in 2019 and appeared to have found love which many fans were excited about and expected it to lead to marriage.

Ike, has however explained that social media played a huge role in why the relationship with Mercy failed because many people had too much to say and projected too much of their expectations on them.
Speaking in an interview with VanguardLifeTV, Ike said:
“I’ve been in a couple of relationships, but this one (with Mercy) wasn’t it; having a relationship where people have a million opinions just isn’t it”
Responding to whether he’s still open to having relationships in future, he said:
“I will like to date a lady that is intelligent, pretty much independent, and not so freaked about social media.
“I believe social media brings a lot of negative vibes from people when it comes to relationships,” he added.
