Monday Odigie, the coach of Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin, has resigned from his position following a disappointing 2-3 loss to Rangers International of Enugu last Sunday.

It was also reported that the coach had considered resigning after the Match Day 10 fixture against Sunshine Stars of Akure, but a 2-1 win in that match delayed his decision.

Before stepping down, Odigie made solo trips to Akure and Enugu, returning without the team, fueling speculation about his resignation. The team is currently at the bottom of the 20-team league following their Week 12 loss to Rangers.
