Beneficiaries Of Sen. Oluremi Tinubu Elderly Citizens Assistance Scheme Applauds Initiative, Prayed For Successful Tenure

Beneficiaries of Sen. Oluremi Tinubu Elderly Citizens Assistance Scheme, have on Tuesday, applauded the initiative of the distinguished senator and prayed for her successful tenure in office.
The beneficiaries told newsmen during a press conference in Lagos, on Tuesday.
They said that the initiative was a life saving because the scheme goes a long way in sustaining their livings.
According to, Chief Lateef Amusa, who is one of the beneficiary, said that he has been sustaining with the financial support of Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, since the past 9years of the inception of the scheme.
He thanked the Senator for taking the welfare of the elderly ones seriously.
“May God continue to bless the distinguished senator for her support for the ages and the less privileges, ” he said.
Another beneficiary, Alhaja Mopelola Ologolo, said that the scheme has be a life support for her sustenance.

“My children are playing their part for support but this scheme is helping me a lot.
“The money is regular and I use it as at when due to feed myself, ” she said.
Earlier, Mrs Munirat Shiyanbola Bankole, the Chairperson of Etiosa Local Governement, who represented Sen. Oluremi Tinubu in the Lagos Central Senatorial District, said that the Senator had earlier hosted this year’s edition of the Elderly Citizens Assistance Scheme, in all 13 Local Government under her district.
She said that this year theme was tagged, “Elderly Care and The New Normal” which cash and gifts items were distributed Door-to-Door to all the 5 wards within Etiosa community.
“Senior citizens of the community were presented with food items, financial aids and other valuables.
“They were further enlightened on the need to maintain social distancing and other preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, ” she said.
She said that, this was the 9th edition of the scheme and promised to do more.
