Benue APC Crisis Deepens as Dissolved Executive Sues Ganduje for Contempt
The leadership crisis in the Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) escalated on Thursday when the dissolved state executive, led by Augustine Agada, took legal action against the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for ignoring a court order.
EKO HOT BLOG reported on Wednesday, that a Benue State High Court had ruled that the Ganduje-led National Working Committee (NWC) could not dissolve the Agada-led state executive.
Despite this, the NWC proceeded with the dissolution later that day.
In response, Agada and eight others filed contempt charges against the NWC on Thursday, urging the court to enforce its decision to keep them in office until their four-year term ends.

In an affidavit, Agada stated that the NWC had been served with the court order on Wednesday afternoon.
Despite this, the NWC held a meeting that evening, where they dissolved the state executive and appointed a caretaker committee, disregarding the court’s directive.
