BET Awards To Hold Amid Ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic

The 2020 edition of BET Awards, an American award show, will hold despite the spread of COVID-19. But unlike how it held in the past, this year’s edition will be held virtually.

According to the event organizers, the event which celebrates the best in black culture will hold on Sunday, June 28, 2020.

While expressing confidence that the forthcoming event will be the biggest “celebration of black love, joy, pride, and power yet”, the organisers said an array of innovative techniques and artist-generated content will be deployed to put on an impressive show for everyone at home.

“Our community, and the many millions who love black culture, look to the BET Awards for signature moments of enrichment, entertainment, and empowerment.

“Recognizing the unique role the BET Awards plays for so many, and the challenging times we find ourselves in, we know it was more important than ever to deliver the BET Awards in 2020,” he added.

Nominations for the award categories will be unveiled in due course.
