According to the club’s head of media, Dimeji Oshode, this participation will not violate the league’s regulations regarding ownership, despite being under the same ownership as Remo Stars.
Beyond Limits earned promotion to the NPFL next season by finishing at the top of the Southern Conference in the Nigeria National League Super 8 playoffs, accumulating seven points.
This marks their first season in the NNL.
However, their eligibility to play in the NPFL raised concerns due to the league’s regulations on multiple clubs being owned by the same individual.
Both Beyond Limits and Remo Stars are owned by businessman Kunle Soname.
Clause 5.0 of the NPFL framework on club ownership states, “A person is not allowed to hold or acquire a significant interest in an NPFL club while holding a significant interest in another NPFL club.”
However, Oshode maintains that despite being owned by the same person, both clubs operate under different managements.
“Beyond limits will definitely play in the NPFL next season,” Oshode said via Nigeria Info.
“We have an owner but we have different managements from both sides.
“The CEO of Remo Stars is different from the CEO of Beyond Limits.”

He added that the club will retain the same set of players in the topflight, just as they did after their promotion from the Nationwide League One to the NNL.
