Biden Congratulates Trump On Victory, Plans White House Meeting
President Joe Biden called Donald Trump on Wednesday to congratulate him on his election victory and invited the incoming Republican president-elect to meet in the “near future,” according to a statement from the White House.

“President Biden expressed his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and emphasized the importance of working to bring the country together,” the White House statement read.
In addition, Biden reached out to Vice President Kamala Harris, congratulating her on her historic campaign as the Democratic nominee. The statement highlighted Biden’s appreciation for Harris’s dedication and role in the election.
The White House also announced that Biden would address the nation on Thursday to discuss the election outcome and outline the administration’s next steps for the transition, aiming to foster bipartisan cooperation as the country prepares for its new leadership.
