Otunba Abbas made the assertion at the 14th Annual interdenominational prayer for peace, progress and development of Odo-Noforija kingdom and its environs which took place on Thursday, June 29, at the palace of Oba Babatunde Olaogun Ogunlaja (JP) Kalejaiye II, the Aladeshoyin and paramount leader of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, Epe Division.
The media mogul was speaking after the thrilling performance from students of the Bethesda Home for the Blind.
The students who came at the invitation of the king serenaded the audience with their sonorous voices and beautiful dance steps.
Otunba Abass, who is the Aremo of Epe kingdom, commended the students for their performance and noted that the fact that they lost their sight does not mean they have lost their vision.
He stated that an individual might be blind but can also be a productive member of the society.
One of the students of the Bethesda Home for the Blind, Kareem Ahmed, who spoke with Eko Hot Blog, noted that the school has been of great help to him.
He told our correspondent that he is now a graduate of the University of Lagos, where he studied history.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Bethesda Home for the blind is a voluntary and non- profit organization set up to give succour to physically challenged persons who are visually-Impaired and helpless.
