In Yobe State, a fresh assault by heavily armed men suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists has struck Buni Yadi, the administrative center of Gujba Local Government Area.
This attack comes just days after terrorists killed at least 34 people in the region.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to reports, the latest attack targeted a vigilante camp at Sabon Fegi, close to the government lodge and behind the local government secretariat.
The insurgents set fire to parts of the government lodge and vehicles from a nearby bread factory, Annour Bread.
A source revealed that the attackers arrived on foot during the night, setting ablaze portions of the government lodge and burning two vehicles from the bread factory. The vigilantes and special forces engaged the terrorists, forcing them to retreat.
However, they managed to destroy the vigilante camp and two vehicles from the bread factory before fleeing.
A security agency source, who requested anonymity, confirmed that one vigilante sustained injuries during the attack. Prior to the assault, security personnel had cleared the streets in response to intelligence reports indicating a possible infiltration by insurgents hiding in the area.
The attack was confirmed by DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, the Public Relations Officer of the Yobe State Police Command. He stated that the terrorists, who approached in large numbers on foot, fired indiscriminately upon entering the town.
In response, Captain Shehu Muhammad, Assistant Director of the Public Relations Unit for Operation Lafiya Dole Sector 2 in Damaturu, verified the incident to journalists and noted that troops successfully thwarted the attack.
