Desmond Yunana, a reverend of Anglican Church Nigeria based in Borno state, says Abubakar Sheaku, Boko Haram leader, health condition has taken a turn for the worse.
Ekohotblog reports that Yunana disclosed this while delivering a sermon in church on Sunday.
Yuana said he had a “revelation” on Saturday that the notorious and wanted leader of the insurgents is critically ill.
He added that Shekau called for prayers from both Christian and Muslims residents of Maiduguri to see him through his current predicament, noting that the terrorist is ready for penitence
Yuana’s “prophecy” is coming one month after Mohammed Adam, a captured teenage fighter, said Shekau can no longer walk unaided.
Adam, who is currently in custody of the Nigerian army, said Shekau got injured during an air bombardment on an insurgents’ camp in Tumbuktu, Sambisa forest, a Boko Haram stronghold in Borno state.
