Her win on Friday, August 30, firmly established her dominance in the group, as she maintained her top spot in the standings. Bolaji opened the match with a decisive 13-point win in the first game, 21-8, before taking a brief break.
In the second game, Bolaji continued her strong performance, securing a 21-14 victory and further solidifying her position at the top of the group. She now leads the group ahead of India’s Mandeep Kahur and Australia’s Celine Aurelie Vinot, who are in second and third places, respectively.
In contrast, her fellow Nigerian competitor, Nnanna Chigozie Jeremiah, faced defeat in his second match against Indonesia’s Fredy Setiawan, who won 21-12, 24-22.
